Then came LL-DevCo.

We I think you will all agree that the Leader-Lines website needed a good old sort out. The good news is that we have added more than you could ever imagined, one thing having the use of the LL-DevCo equipment to play with is that all the new items have been fully tested before they are published, I dare say bugs will still crop up but for the first time we are not prototyping code straight on the net.

The big shuffle stage has been completed with only a few people that noticed the site offline, all the old stuff has been sorted and polished up whilst the dross has been removed. The final stage of our impressive new interactive item "LL-Your-Lines" is now complete and live, this is an online page writer that allows users to write their own pages, be it on venues, stories about a fishing trip or tips and tricks. Once you have written it our server will code it and post the article into a holding area, once we have checked it is fit for viewing we tick a box and it goes live, this should happen the very same day. See the E-Magazine, it's all good, it's all working*.

We also have lots of other things completed and live, we are pumping out RSS feeds, if they prove useful then will can expand on them to cover more aspects of the site, you may have noticed the catch reports, message boards picture upload is fully working and no more pictures that don't fit the screen. We have even got a proper "Site Support" section, look up, you will see the button.

Mobile services, another big area for us, the fact more and more people have internet access via their phones, we are looking into text-a-report straight from your phone, we have tested the tide table via phone last year and will be doing more with that shortly, just think you will soon be able to post to the site via your phone, read the reports, forums and tide table from the beach.

I could go on and on but one thing is for sure Leader-Lines is on its way back to being the top of the tree once again and it is largely due to you, our loyal viewers/users, many thanks.

* by full working we are aware that the address book needs more places added and the events board in a little empty.
